is associated with Klein Karoo Co-operative Limited. We are based in Oudsthoorn, South Africa. The area is known as the Klein Karoo, a very unique area which is renowned for its ability to host high quality seed productions.

Klein Karoo Seed specialises in the production of high quality vegetable seed with specific reference to open pollinated and hybrid onion, carrot, bunching onion, leeks, cabbage, garden beens, cauliflower, pumpkin, squash and bean seed. We also produce a wide range of other vegetable seed on a smaller scale.

With more than 20 years production experience, Klein Karoo Seed is recognised by seed companies around the world as a valuable partner and supplier of high quality seed. The bulk of our production is exclusive and produced on a contractual basis at pre-arranged prices. We also produce and sell the public OP varieties as a wholesale service to seed companies and traders.

We house a portfolio of four companies within our structure, this ensures focussed attention, products and services for customers.

This is our distribution company. Klein Karoo Pasture Seed distributes pasture seed, lucerne and agricultural crops directly to third parties internationally and in South Africa and also to producers. Operations are managed from both Oudtshoorn and Brits in South Africa.

This company is a seed multiplication operation and is responsible to produce pasture seed and approximately 30 group types of vegetable seed. It also cultivates agricultural crops. This service marketing company operates throughout South Africa.

The company is being serviced by 500 growers in South Africa. It has a history of excellence and adheres to strict quality control processes to ensure best quality grades for client

Spoedwel has a one-stop-shop and is also a vegetable seed marketing and distribution company. It operates mainly in the Northern and North Western Provinces in South Africa. It is the licencee in these areas for the world reknowned vegetable seed brand, Mayford. In addition the company also markets the Hazera and Sakata brands.

The company services commercial farmers and is also marketing these brands in "consumer" packaging (small quantities) through selected retail outlets.
